2010 Giant Alias Review

The Giant Alias has long been one of the best value for money off-road bikes available. It is an ideal recreational level off-road bike.
It has a lightweight aluminium frame that is handmade and designed to give lots of clearance when standing over it. This is essential for tackling any more serious terrain.
The Rockshox Tora 302 suspension forks on the Giant Alias are coil sprung which has rebound adjust so you can have the preferred ride quality. The forks also have "PopLoc" remote lock out which gives the rider the ability to turn the suspension off when not required (from the handlebars in this case). These shocks can be converted to air which reduces the weight of the front end. The brakes are Shimano hydraulic discs, a reliable, very controllable system.
The Shimano drivetrain is a combination of SLX and Deore to give efficient gear changing under tougher off-road conditions.
Because it has tough Sun Ringle rims, it will handle rugged trails without damaging the rims, so you can get home safely.
The tyre, saddle handlebars and stem are all brand name, good quality items, there are no shortcuts here. You get a good recreational level off-road bike.
As with all our bikes it come with 12 months free service, and of course the Giant Lifetime warranty on the frame.
